On May 12th, more than 40 primary and secondary students from the Kanbula Town Nine-year Continuum School entered the Kanbula Geopark and held a unique and lively geological science popularization and research activity.
During the event, the Kanbula Geopark invited professional science popularization instructors to provide students with a detailed introduction to the formation and evolution of geological landforms, types and causes of vegetation distribution, and other natural and cultural knowledge of the Kanbula Geopark. Under the guidance of professional mentors, students travel through 1.4 billion years of history through on-site observation and specimen collection, engage in dialogue with mountains, rivers, and nature, and experience the past and present lives of the strange forests and peaks of Kanbula. Students have expressed that by participating in this activity, they have broadened their knowledge horizons, learned many knowledge that is not available in textbooks, and once again experienced the pride and pride of "my family lives in the park". They will start from themselves, work together, protect resources, and love their homes.
The science inquiry learning activities successfully help the students to open the first lesson of the natural science and geological scientific enlightenment, improve the students awareness of the Kanbula Geopark, guide the students to better establish the concept of "harmonious coexistence between man and nature", stimulate students "love hometown, protect resources" deep feelings, in promoting the teachers and students love natural resources, protection of geological relics has played a positive role, as well as the Kanbula Geopark development at a deeper level of popular science education and research study provides valuable experience to travel.
