On October 27,2020, the 2020 UNESCO World Geopark annual meeting was held in the guangwushan-nuoshuihe World Geopark in Bazhong, Sichuan province. Video United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization of congratulatory messages from experts, speeches by the secretary of the CPC Bazhong municipal committee, the head of the Sichuan forestry and grassland administration and the vice-chairman of the Executive Board of the Global Geoparks Network were also shown Liu Yuan, Inspector of the Department of Nature Reserve management of the state forestry and grassland administration, made a speech.

The conference shared the experience of management and construction, Declaration and re-evaluation, protection and development of the World Geoparks, and interpreted the evaluation rules of the World Geoparks, this paper analyzes on the standard points of the newly revised self-evaluation form of the World Geoparks, and discusses on the brand operation of the World Geoparks, popular science education and so on.

Geological experts and scholars from all over the country and representatives from 41 global geoparks authorities from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and the Hong Kong region attended the conference, with a total of more than 200 participants, talk about the sustainable development of global geoparks.
