They are in Nanzonggou Valley of Kanbula Town, with an elevation of 2796-2843m. The landscape forming strata are the Upper Cretaceous Minhe Formation (K2m), which are composed of gray-red, brown-red thick bedded conglomerate, and sandstone, with brown-red mudstone and silty mudstone as interlayers in upper part. Square stone columns were formed under the action of two groups of joint cutting, water erosion and gravity collapse in NE direction and NW direction. After the late vertical joint water erosion and wind erosion, five Danxia peaks with connected bases and conical or pagoda-shaped upper part were formed, which is the most typical geomorphic landscape of  Danxia Peak  in Kanbula Scenic area.
