It is in Kanbula Town of Jianzha County, Qinghai Province. It is rated as a 4A level Scenic Area by National Tourism Administration. It is composed of Danxia landform, forest vegetation, religious culture, dam of hydropower station, reservoir area and Tibetan village customs, integrating natural landscape and cultural landscape. There are more than 800 plant species in Kanbula National Forest Park, including more than 130 trees and shrubs, more than 80 flowers with high ornamental value, and more than 250 wild plants with high economic value, which belong to 76 families and 276 genera, and more than 90 wild animals. It is a rare gene pool of species on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
