"Dadun" is a Tibetan word meaning "arrow banquet", which is a unique grand celebration of the archery tournament in Amdo Tibetan area, and is a kind of banquet held by archers from both sides after the intense archery competition in Jianzha, in order to achieve the purpose of harmonious coexistence and long-lasting friendship.

"Dadun" is a comprehensive cultural and sports entertainment activity of the Tibetan nationality with folk archery and duet love songs as the main carrier, integrating archery skills, performance song and dance, wine and food.

"Dadun" generally consists of a program such as door song, greeting, toast, duet song, speech, and blessing. First of all, the girls of "Xiwacang" (the receptionist) asked "Xianicang" (guest) to sing the "door song"; Secondly, "Xiwacang" greets "Xia Nicang", and then "Xia Nicang" sings the opening song, and then the girls of "Xi Wa Cang" and the archers of "Xia Nicang" begin to sing duet; After that, the other party performed softly and performed "Say Arrow", and finally the archers on both sides and the girl of "Xiwakura" sang auspiciousness. "Dadun" often opens with a crisp and pleasant song that greets the visiting archers, and ends with the auspicious ode of "Zhaxi", which symbolizes prayer for good weather, abundant grains, harmony and good luck.

On November 25, 2013, the Dadun Banquet was announced by the Qinghai Provincial Government to be included in the Fourth Batch of Qinghai Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
