On January 6, 2021, the Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geological Survey of Gansu Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development conducted a comprehensive field survey of geological relics within 250km² involved in the Kanbula Scenic Area. Among them, the more important geological relics in Huangnan Prefecture mainly include the Shihlangka ancient volcanic group in Maixiu Town, the volcanic landform of Duohemao, the Xia Qiong Snow Mountain, and the Snake Green Rock of Longwu Gorge.
