The emblem was designed by Mr. York Penno, and the "GEOPARK" on the motif is a newly created English term, translated as "Geopark", and "NETWORK" means network. The pattern in the middle symbolizes the Earth, and the five curves represent the Earth's circle layers: the mantle and core, the lithosphere, the hydrosphere, the biosphere and the atmosphere, which symbolizes that the planet of the Earth is a constantly changing system composed of various events and actions that have formed our environment.

The moral of the whole emblem is that the Global Geopark is a special area selected on earth, containing a geological heritage that has been protected and serves sustainable development.
