May 12th this year is the 15th National Day for Disaster Prevention and Reduction. To ensure the safety of the ecological environment in the jurisdiction, on May 12th, the State Ecological Environment Bureau closely focused on the theme of "Preventing Disaster Risks and Escorting High-quality Development" to carry out publicity and education activities on disaster prevention and reduction.

At the event site, the State Ecological Environment Bureau actively promoted energy-saving, low-carbon, and green environmental protection knowledge to residents in the jurisdiction through the establishment of consultation desks, setting up promotional display boards, distributing promotional materials, and receiving consultations. They taught emergency knowledge about sudden environmental events, answered environmental safety questions raised by citizens, and focused on improving the disaster prevention and reduction capabilities of the public. On the day of the event, more than 100 environmental protection promotional materials were distributed and more than 20 people consulted.

After the event, in accordance with the work requirements of the Huangnan Prefecture Disaster Reduction Committee Office, taking this event as an opportunity, we investigated the safety channels, laboratory facilities, equipment, drugs, and other hazards in our monitoring center building, strengthened the investigation and management of risk hazards, and made efforts to shift from focusing on post disaster assistance to focusing on pre disaster prevention, and from reducing disaster losses to reducing disaster risks, further enhance the awareness and ability of ecological and environmental protection, disaster prevention, reduction, and disaster relief, and ensure preparedness.
