On May 19, "International Symposium on the Value of Geological Relics of Kanbula Geopark" was officially opened in Tongren City.

The conference invited nearly more than 30 experts and scholars in the field of geology from home and abroad to discuss the unique international value of geological relics in Kanbula Geopark, and to carry out a series of in-depth academic exchanges, seminars and field scientific investigation activities.

Deputy Governor of the Prefecture Government, Geng Zhicai, stated at the academic report meeting that Kanbula Geopark has given birth to a rich variety of geological heritage landscapes, with coexisting topographical types such as mountains, rivers, lakes, canyons, planation surfaces, and Danxia, totaling more than ten kinds. Protecting and utilizing the deepest memories and most precious resources of nature within Kanbula Geopark is our mission and responsibility. He expressed hope that the experts attending the seminar would use the "golden key" of wisdom to unlock the door to Kanbula's "treasure trove" of resources.

This seminar will not only provide a valuable academic exchange platform for the geological community, but also inject new vitality into the sustainable development of Kanbula Geopark. At the same time, it will also promote the exchange and cooperation between the international geological circles and Kanbula Geopark, and enhance the international visibility of Kanbula Geopark.
