On March 17th, an 11 person delegation led by the Deputy Secretary General of Huangnan Prefecture Government and the Kanbula Scenic Area Management Committee went to the Zhangye Global Geopark for on-site inspection and assessment work. The Global Geopark conducts on-site investigation and learning on the assessment and inspection work.

During this period, a symposium was held. The Zhangye Danxia Scenic Area Management Committee (Zhangye National Geopark Management Bureau) shared the advanced experience and effective practices of the Zhangye Global Geopark creation application process and evaluation and inspection, and conducted in-depth exchanges on the doubts and problems in the evaluation and inspection work.

Subsequently, the inspection team visited the colorful hills and archive reference room on site to learn about the advanced experience of Zhangye Global Geopark in geological relic protection, archive data management, and other aspects.

Through this study, the inspection team gained a deeper understanding of the evaluation and inspection work, gained experience, strengthened confidence, and clarified ideas.
